Bill Bryson
For years Bill Bryson was known as a travel writer and then his whimsical book A Short History of Nearly Everything was published and Mr. Bryson crossed over into a larger readership. His laid back, easy to read style has cultivated a loyal fan base. He does not disappoint with his latest book, a memoir entitled The Life and Times of the Thunderbolt Kid
Charles Frazier
Just about everybody saw the Oscar winning movie ColdMountain. Well that was adapted from Charles Frazier's book of the same name, and introduced the shy author to a success that he could never have anticipated. So it's not surprising that his new novel Thirteen Moons has arrived with great expectation. In Thirteen Moons Frazier has chosen again to conquer an epic love story, this time set in the Appalachians, revolving around the plight of the Cherokee, and the reconfiguration of Carolina land.

Brownie Mom
Nadja Piatka has published a simple cookbook. But the story behind her success is
far from straight forward. A housewife coping with a divorce, Nadja turned her brownies
