Confessions of a Pot Smuggler
Brian O’Dea comes from a well-respected Newfoundland family. His father ran a major brewery and his uncle was lieutenant governor. But that isn’t his claim to notoriety…it’s his exploits as a marijuana smuggler in the 70s and 80’s. Brian recounts those criminal years in his book High – Confessions of a Pot Smuggler.
Rock Plaza Central
Chris Eaton is a member of the band Rock Plaza Central. He also happens to be a novelist. Now it’s not unusual for musicians to cover someone else’s material (in fact the band has done a country version of Justin Timberlake’s “SexyBack”), but Chris has recently completed what amounts to a literary lip synch of a Thomas Hardy novel.

3 Day Novel
During the Labour Day Long Weekend, BookTelevision and Chapters Indigo staged the 3 Day Novel Writing Contest which KCC was mad enough to host.
