Its online community has been a hit, and Julia Roberts has already signed on to produce and star in the movie version of the book.

Dr. Gabor Mate
Vancouver based physician Dr. Gabor Mate has devoted his life to working with some of the most downtrodden in the city's downtown east side. In his most recent book In The Realm of Hungry Ghosts: Close Encounters with Addiction, Mate describes the ways in which the slippery evils of addiction take hold.
